Suffice to say, the performance team from LSR Performance was on hand to showcase and participate in the autocross event and to showcase the various performance products we have developed for the 2010-2011 Camaro.  We showed up with our 2010 Camaro that was equipped with a slew of our specially developed LSR Performance Camaro parts, including:

On Saturday, our 2010 Camaro participated in the Super Chevy Autocross Event. Competing against Corvette Z06’s and other heavily modified roll caged cars, The LSR Performance equipped

Camaro won first in its class and overall placed second overall  — note that this included running against a series of special purpose fully caged autocross vehicles that were specifically modified for autocross events. Running a time of 48.9 seconds we drove away from the event with the confidence that our “street Camaro” with some of our suspension modifications we developed did exceptionally well – providing evidence of the performance capabilities that our performance suspension upgrades can deliver.

All in all, the event this year was a huge success with many more people strutting about their performance car and enjoying the cars of others. Everyone agreed that there was something extra special about this event that brought the various Chevy, Ford, and Mopar vehicle owners together – all celebrating American performance and enjoying their pride in American muscle cars.

There was a really great car show on the grounds that provided an opportunity for those that prefer to clean and shine their cars to showcase their hardware, as well as non-stop action on the dragstrip for those that wanted to flex their cars muscle. It was evident that the camaraderie between competing brand owners was remarkable with everyone was appreciative of each other’s cars and celebrating performance vehicles that only come from the USA!

On the dragstrip, you were given the choice of just running your car to see what time you could nail – or – you could compete in a head-to-head competition. here was plenty of competition and lots of action that kept everyone enthused throughout the day. When the day ended, all match racing was completed, and the tire smoke cleared, the individual class winners and runner ups earned bragging rights for the rest of the year which included:

Class A;

Winner: Mike Clifford, 66 Barracuda

Runner-up; Neal Miller, 2010 Camaro

Class B;

Winner: Greg Martin, 2004 GTO

Runner-up; Paul Page, 2010 Camaro SSR

Class C;

Winner: Roby Irle, 2010 Camaro

Runner-up; Jeff Kiser, 2010 Camaro

Winner: Scott Boda, Steeda Mustang

Runner-up; Howard Wolf, 99 Corvette
